Stand 1250
London, UK – 8th September 2006: At Ifra Expo, Amsterdam, ProImage will be launching version 5.0 of its successful NewsWay newspaper workflow automation solution.
NewsWay controls and manages workflow from almost all front-end systems through to final output. It is not tied to any one manufacturer’s output devices, and because it uses a simple Web browser, NewsWay will monitor production status, both at origination and print sites, irrespective of location.
IFRA Track, JDF , ICC profiles, PDF as well as Bitmap workflow, imposition and page pairing is supported. NewsWay also integrates with plate scanners and press control systems, providing one, cost-effective, integrated end-to-end production solution.
ProImage will be demonstrating TracWay, its unique newspaper production tracking software, as well as OnColor, a solution that increases performance and efficiency of processing colour images.
OnColor improves image quality while speeding throughput to help meet deadlines. It provides the ability to automatically enhance images within a PDF file and also to receive and save images in a wide variety of formats.
